Roussillon Farmhouse and Mas D’en Porte have been in our family for the past 30 years. So popular are our properties and the region we bought the two adjoining cottages, Des Alberes and Canigou. All have been recently renovated and transformed to boutique hotel standards.

Recently renovated and modernised stone Roussillon Cottage comprising 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to sleep 5/6 + cot. Benefits from a shared garden and 9m x 6m swimming pool. Ideal together with Cottage Des Alberes for family groups of 10/12 people.

Available for rental separately or can be rented in combination with Roussillon Farmhouse (sleeps 10) or one or both cottages (each sleeps 6) to accommodate up to 32 / 36 people. Each property having their own privacy and facilities, including 3 separate swimming pools, set in a total of almost 2-acres of private gardens.
We can offer short breaks (minimum 2 nights) and or winter lets as Mas D’en Porte is well insulated and equipped with a combination of AC reverse heating, electric heaters and a logburner. A local English housekeeper is available to provide assistance, if required.

A majestic south facing sun terrace, leading from the very spacious 40m2 lounge – with uninterrupted Mountain views, ideal for star-gazing on balmy nights with a glass of wine! Plus a separate east / Mediterranean facing terrace adjacent to the self-contained studio, great for sunny morning, lazy breakfasts.
Al fresco dining area for 12 people in stone-featured cave – fantastic for long summer lunches!
Private / exclusive swimming pool (8m x 4m) set is One-Acre garden complete with garden furniture, sun-beds, parasols, BBQ and outside shower. Ideal for large families.
A truly peaceful, tranquil setting amongst the wooded countryside with natural wildlife and wonderful views of the mountains. The south facing lounge terrace, directly overlooking the garden, is ideal quiet area for relaxation or reading and for al fresco aperitifs.
Private driveway off a quiet road provides car parking for 2 / 3 cars.
Mas D’en Porte Swimming Pool and Garden
Mas D’en Porte enjoys the benefit of its own private swimming pool, dimensions 8m x 4m. Entry is via Roman steps in the shallow end of approx 1.2m and with a deep-end of approximately 1.85m. The pool is available from late-April until mid-late October each year. Situated in a location enjoying all-day sunshine, the pool is attended regularly to ensure ideal water quality.
A range of sun beds, parasols, tables and chairs are available in the garden and pool terraces. The swimming pool is equipped with an electronic pool cover, conforming to NF P 90 – 308 to provide added safety protection.
A Table Tennis Table, Tennis Rackets and Bikes are available for a small charge.
Our properties are ideally located within a short 5mins walk to the village centre of Villelongue dels Monts, with boulangerie, shop, choice of three restaurants, a bar and just 15mins by car to the Mediterranean beach of Argeles Sur Mer.

How to get to Mas D'en Porte
If you are planning to fly and hire a car, then we would recommend Girona / Spain, which is 60 minutes by car, with several flights a day from most regional airports with Ryanair. In addition, the airports of Perpignan (25 minutes), Carcassonne (1 hour 40 minutes) and Barcelona (2 hours) are all convenient too. Alternatively, the nearest TGV station is Perpignan (25mins), with a local train station at Argeles-Ville. We will be pleased to provide travel tips and recommend car hire etc.
We are located just 10mins from the Autoroute exit at Le Boulou, the last junction in France, before heading into Spain.

This is the first time we rented a villa and what a choice. The villa is absolutely stunning, the location equally so, and Paul and Annette incredibly helpful from the point of going out to the point of returning. If you are looking for a fantastic family villa and location, then we can highly recommend this. Some lovely beaches near by, incredible scenery with the mountains, and stunning towns and villas such as Ceret and Collioure. The villa is at the heart of all this and really is lovely. (Sept 2014)

We enjoyed our family holiday in the Mas D'en Porte. We loved the outside balconies and the furnishing were good. The kitchen was good and the poolside loungers and umbrellas were comfortable. It was a bit of a squeeze with 9 of us because our teenage children really need proper beds now. The owner was very helpful leading up to the holiday and gave us lots of tips before we arrives. You need iPad or computer really for local info. Loved the area: beaches and mountains were nearby. Thanks. (Aug 2014)

Absolutely lovely holiday - the property was wonderful in every way. All bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms appeared to have been recently fitted-out and very well appointed. We took two neighbouring properties as a group for the fortnight and all said we will be coming which we most definitely will. very helpful owners and support. Great little village with plenty to do around, fantastic beach at le Racou the restaurant le Fanal is wonderful. Half hour to Spanish beaches. LOVED IT. (Aug 2014)

Went with family- 19 of us from 2 to 72 in two properties. Had a wonderful time. All want to go again. Well-appointed and everything worked. Village facilities good. Loved the area-nice beaches and easy to get to Spanish ones. Difficult to find negatives. The weather, apparently, was the worst for years but still good. (Aug 2014).

Mas D'en Porte is a beautiful holiday home. All rooms were clean, spacious and well furnished, with comfortable beds, sofas and fantastic flat screened TVs. A well stocked kitchen with quality appliances makes cooking a pleasure and there is ample space within and without the property for finding quiet moments whenever you need them.
The setting is ideal with fantastic views and just a short walk from the village for your bread, a drink or even dining out. Refreshingly this property is as described on the website – a stunning place for a relaxing holiday. (Oct 2012)

We had a fantastic holiday at Mas D'en Porte and were totally overwhelmed with the very high standard spacious accommodation, the facilities and the tasteful decoration. We particularly liked the lovely roll-top bath in the family bathroom and of course the designer kitchen, which was out of this world.
The first floor was enormous with a great open fire and plenty of seating extending on to a sun-terrace… great for reading in peace and quiet. We spent every night on the terrace until the early morning just gazing at the stars. Hope to be back soon. (Sept 2012)

- Short Breaks: From £40 or €50 / person per night, minimum 2 nights / 4 people.

- Arrival / Departure Dates: Usually Saturday to Saturday, but please enquire and let us know your specific requirements.

Taxe de Sejour (Tourist Tax): Applicable to all people 18 years and above is charged at €1.32 per adult, per night. This tax will be accounted from the security deposit and will be itemised on the final account.
